Steven received his BS in physics from Brigham Young University in 2015 and entered the Ph.D. program at Duke immediately afterward. Steven's undergraduate research focused on developing porous micro-cantilever resonant chemical sensors, using DNA origami methods to develop and test a self-assembled circuit fabrication technique, and further developing the CNT-M (Carbon Nanotube Microfabrication) process.
