Jorge joined the Franklin Group at Duke University in the summer of 2015 as an REU student, then returned as a PhD student in the Fall of 2016 after receiving his BS in electrical engineering from Arizona State University. As an undergraduate, his research interests included the growth and characterization of optoelectronic materials as well as the fabrication of novel nanoelectronic devices. As a PhD student, his primary research focus is on nanoelectronics. Besides research, Jorge enjoys the outdoors, playing basketball, and DIY projects.
